  • Truly baby seagulls are fluffy and helpless. If you do a Google Images search for "Baby Seagull" like this: http://www.google.com/images?hl=en&q=%22baby+seagull%22&btnG=Search+Images you will find plenty of pictures of them. However, while they are babies they cannot fly, so they have to stay in the nest and be fed by there parents, so you never see them on the beach. They grow up very quickly, and put on feathers like their parents. But they are brownish in colour, compared to their parents usual black, white and grey in various arrangements. Because they are nearly as big as their parents, you probably don't realise it, but some of the gulls you see on the beach may be only a few weeks old.
