No. I think the days of that kind of formality are gone. I do teach them to use "Ms." and "Mr." when meeting someone new.

Actually I adress other people that way and my kids emulate me most of the time. It's only with friends that we drop the formality. I don't require them to address anyone that way, I simply teach them to be respectful and to demand respect from others.

That is a thing of the past. My children talk to other adults with respect but can use their names if they so choose. Example, I am Daddy Kevin. He can call me Daddy or Kevin or both.

Yes. That kind of class never goes out of style, and it is a VERY respectful thing to say to an elder.
