Then break it down into smaller bits. But don't ignore it completely. If you do, you're bound to repeat the same mistake until you DO face it.

Stay very, very busy but you must absorb and admit just a little at a time.

I try to stay as busy as i can and deny to myself that it happened, thats what i've been doing since August 2007.

Its a survival tactic. It works very well I might add. In my view the only thing to do is roll with it. Your brain will doll it out to you in little dribs and drabs as you can take it. I think its a cool mechanism inside of us that is innate. Hopefully it keeps things that are too intensely traumatizing to take all at once to be fed back in tiny spoonfuls.
