My work cubicle-mate was just taken to the E.R. due to precautions that she might be having a heart attack. Do you know anyone who has had a heart attack? (nb: or have you had one)

Yes, my second husband had 3 of them. The first two we had no idea he was having, he said it was heartburn. The third one, his arm went ice cold and his chest hurt so bad I finally convinced him to go to the emergency room.

Yes, my FIL had one but mostly he had problems with his diabetes and kidneys. He survived the heart attack rather easily with heart problems starting in his 40s but he was 89 when he died from being on dialysis and other problems. I think his problems were mostly genetic as both he and his wife ate very healthy diets, both having given up sugar in the 30s and eating whole grains and home grown produce, taking vitamins and herbs since the 30s also. I beet he wold have died very young like his brothers if not for his diet.
