Changing Fuel Filter on 1995 Taurus and want to know procedure to release fuel pressure as recommended by FORD...an answer as soon as possible will help me to get on the road...can anyone help please?

pull the clips off either side, slowly pull the fuel line off, fuel will piss out everywhere, or put a drain bucket under it. (your choice) once it stops pissing . . . presto... the pressure is released. OK before you get angry at my answer (that is if you are) you are going to spill fuel no matter what. especially if you're new at this kinda stuff. good luck. hope this helps

I like your solutions ...No, I don't mind some fuel splashing but my concern was that something will explode because they talk of pressure release and it sounds like that ...thas all ...thanks buddy !

just change it, if it's really a problem, start the car and smack the inertia switch in the trunk and wait until the car dies, this should empty out the lines, you still might spill some gas, replace the filter and reset the inertia switch.
