First wave is still the best, Specials, Selector, International Beat, and even Madness (although madness is not really a "ska" band.)Remember Dexy's Midnight Runners? I still like second wave too, like Skazoo, Dr. Raju (both Australian) Bim Skala Bim, Skankin' Pickle, No F/X, Op Ivy. Third wave is much faster but still rock steady like Voodoo Glow Skulls, and Less than Jake

They used to be my favourite as a kid but then The Specials took over. Madness first then The Specials.

Speaking of First Wave: The Skatalites are amongst the earliest and the best! And Laurel Aitken was one of the Godfathers of Ska.

Don't know who's the best band ever but these guys worked with some of the top names and everyone seems to like 'em. My fave ska band is The selector, fave tune The selector 12" version.
