Some of my best memories come from school dances. the band, the people, the girls, the boys.....all intermix to create a lifetime of memories that you will never forget. Go, have fun and take your digital camera. best memories are caught on film or digital stix.

I have my prom coming up, and I know that I'm going to be the poor sod who no one will dance with (mainly because mmost people hate me, and who can blame them?) So for me not that great but for others Im sure they're good!

We had our first highschool dance of the year 2 weeks ago. It was awesome. Fitting 300+ people in a common is amazing. Everyone was dressed up either in costumes or formal clothing. Great music, great time with friends, and people grinding like crazy. One of the best dances I've been to yet.

I wanna go to one to see if they're as bad as my parents say they are.....but I'm not allowed. :(

They depress me a lot. Nothing usually happens. Last time I did anything, I gave a rose to a girl, and she hasn't spoken to me since. I don't get it...

they're crap ,they only mean something to the shallow popular kids, wait a few years and go to a real dance, it's great fun

They're not that good at least the one's held up in my school. Usually the guys are way too shy to ask a girl out, and the girls are also shy and they split up into 2 halfs. Nobody dances.

I never really attended any, except for my prom. They were all pretty lame.

I think people try to make too much out of them. Go for fun, go with a friend (or friends) but don't try to turn it into something huge and romantic or it will fall short of your expectations, and wear sneakers with your dress or suit/tux. Just have fun!

They were the funnest (is that a word??) times of my whole high school career. It wouldn't have been the same without them I went 2 every single one.

The casual dances have gotten pretty lame at my school. they've instituted a policy of "face to face and leave some space" to describe acceptable dancing, and if you get asked to stop too many times, they'll ban you from dances. it's pretty ridiculous. but i like the formal ones. i love dressing up. but i never have a date and by the end of the night i'm REALLY noticing it. this year the first formal will be about the same time as my boyfriend is supposed to move, so i might not get to do that with him, and if he does end up leaving, i certainly won't get my senior prom with him. so...i'm not super excited about any of them this year.

i think there SOOO cute it lets the body breath and open up to someone and just a place to have fun and hang with your friends
