  • Not a snot, but it's kind of ridiculous. Though you'd be more comfortable in your private camper, it isn't camping! I go camping a lot with my family and friends and we always use tents. We see people roll in with 50 foot RVs and almost start laughing. What you have is probably more like a vacation home on wheels. If you want to camp, go camping. If you want a vacation though I'd go for the luxury 34 footer :)
  • Whatever is fun for you dood. Generally people like to go camping to rough it and it makes them feel good to get away from modern stuff. If it's no fun, then I say take along whatever luxury stuff you need to make it fun, that's the whole point, because nature can definitely be an asshole.
  • Not at all. To each his own. I'd say if you bought a 34 foot camper, then you must like to travel and enjoy the campground experience without the hassle of 'roughing it'. In fact, I think a camper is great way to see the land and makes for an affordable, extended vacation. More power to you! :)
  • There are a lot of different ways of camping, but going camping is the important thing. It's like, I ride motorcycles and there a lot of arguments about which one is the best, but the real point is just riding. You don't have to have the best equipment to enjoy the adventure.
  • Not at all. There are degrees of what people are used to and living in a big city, then expecting to pack everything in and back out is rather silly without some experience and training. What you would be doing is mixing the two worlds so you can experience nature (to a certain degree and maintain some of the comforts you are used to. Go for it.
  • Yay snot! (I hope you can afford the gasoline to get back home again)
  • No, but it really depends on where you are going to camp. I don't really think of it as camping in the simple sense but to each his own. We camp either in our RV or from the packs on out back. Each has it's beauties. But I do know that many of the places we like to camp, our favorite places, you can't get a motorhome in as it's too narrow or steep or the sites are too small to accommodate them. We're fine in our little 19 foot motorhome which is inexpensive to drive and fits easily on most any road, paved or dirt.
  • No. I live full-time in an RV and I never use the public showers and I want to be in my own bed at night!
