My husband was 24 and I 32 when we married 33 years ago, way before the term was ever invented.

- No. A 36 year old WOMAN with a 28 year old man is miles away from an 18 year old -vs- a 34 year old. As a matter of fact, it's not even in the same neighborhood. Talk to me in about 10 years and we'll see where your "one and only" is...but then again, you've got it all figured out...good luck.

- 18 years old is an adult. I think people in a relationship shouldn't go out for the future, but try to work on what's in the present...

- It's totally okay. I've known him for three months. We met in rehab and we are both recovering addicts. We're going to help eachother with our recoveries. I think it's cool that he accepts me because I was in rehab for abusing robitussin cough gels, but he was in for heroine. We go to n.a. meetings all the time, and neither one of us relapsed! I can't wait to actually get married, but we don't have a date yet.

I figured that a cougar had to be a bit older/wider age range than that. Like a 50 y.o woman and a 25 y.o man...or a 30 y.o woman and an 18 y.o boy. But hey, work it if you got it.

- Actually, women are considered cougars when they date men 8+ years their junior. The situations you're describing sound more like cradle robbing...like I told another responder...
