Really? And tell Us which "Production" was performed for U??? It must have made quite an "Impression" on U??? Tell Us, what "Impressed" U the most? Was it this that makes U want to "Convert" or something else??? Many people really like the "Pomp & Trappings" of the catholic worship program but for some reason not the Militaristic Dogma that I guess still permeates (at least in some places)the service opting for the "Biblical Freedom" of Early Christianity. Then too, presently many are leaving the catholic church as they are seeing so many of the "Papa's Rules/Dictates"(not the Bibles) over ruled & changed. It was bad enough when the "Altered Boy Scandal" got out of hand, many looked the other way, but here U have the "Head Man" changing things & it really upset long time members. But I wouldn't worry about having Ur Son Baptized as they have many "Financial Plans" to fit Ur Budget. I think he Must go to their "School" though, so I hope they have one in Ur neighborhood??? Ur "Baptism/Marriage" (& hubbies) will probably not be honored but for another "Indulgence Payment" they can make U guys "Legitimate" as well. I know they have classes out here a couple times a week for the 2 of U to attend after work & a "Ceremony" at the end. Have Ur "Budget/Payroll Stubs" handy so they can go over that for establishing Ur "Tithe" each month. Good luck with it & remember it could be worse?......I guess it could be a "Sex Re-Assignment Surgery", Ouch!!! John

You did not mention if your husband was Catholic. One requirement is that the parents have to promise that they will raise the child as a Catholic. If there is something in the parents' lifestyle (like not being Catholic) that makes the priest think that they will not uphold this promise then he can "delay" the baptism of the child until the situation is resolved. Exceptions are made for emergency situations like danger of death. For more information, see the Code of Canon Law, section 868: http://www.vatican.va/archive/ENG1104/__P2X.HTM With love in Christ.

forget the mass. you are wandering round looking for a religion. What you need to find is the peace of Christ that comes with receiving His forgiveness. The new life comes with the faith that Jesus death on the cross paid the penalty for your sins and you don't have to. There is no peace of Jesus in a ceremony that says Jesus can be found in a piece of bread

What religion were you when you were baptized? I think you should be able to baptize your child as long as your heart is right with God and who is to deny your child a baptism certainly not Jesus. +2
