dont kill urself trying to throw to fast or you could end up like me , tearing your labrum and needing surgery. i might never pitch again considering almost everyone who gets this surgery done can never pitch as well as they do before. they say legs and hips are very important in pitching, which is true, but believe it or not ur biceps are just important. keep them and ur shoulder strong cuz eventually ur biceps can pull the labrum off ur shoulder. this is a legit injury, and can easily happen if u overthrow just to see how fast u can throw
well im a pitcher and im 13 just like you i throw in the early 70's on a good day and my off days are no higher than 66 but unlike most kids like me my dad is a professional baseball player for the reds and i get pitching lessons every monday and thursday for 3 hours at Mannios Grand Slam USA you should try and go there its great but an average 13 year old player is about late 50's but if your a ball player than probally late 60's but if you do throw in the 50's i play in the little leauge havent got to any world series yet but most of those kids even 12 year olds are throwing about 65. but you have to remember to never give up 13,14,15 is a great time for growth just keep working on your mechanics and follow throw and you could do a couple of curls now and then and long toss would help you throw faster YW for the advice how to see you there good luck.
It doesn't matter how fast you throw now, it matters how fast you throw when you are older. Additionally, you are still growing, so you need to make sure you don't over do it now. Practice your techniques, but don't pitch so much or so hard that you ruin your shoulder and elbow before you're old enough to pitch in the MLB.
I've heard interviews with John Smoltz and he didn't even start playing baseball until he was about 12.
I'm a 6 to 6'1 left handed pitcher, with all my work outs, I should be throwing 88-93. what are my chances of possibly getting drafted?

Cole Hammels (philly pitcher) pitched a bad game on Saturday. Later he said he pitched the game with a "dead arm", what does this mean?

You're reading I'm 13. How fast do I need to be able to throw now to make the MLB when I'm older?
