Sounds as if you may have sprained it. I would warp an ace bandage around it and re-dress it every morning for three days. If it doesn't get any better, see your doctor. Alternatively, if you do anything which involves repetitive motion of the wrist, you may have carpal tunnel syndrome. This can only be handled by a physician.

If it is the one you use your computer mouse with, it could mean your spending too much time using your mouse. It happens more than you may realize.

Do you play alot of tennis of golf?

You may have sprained it or torn a muscle in your hand. You also could have dislocated one of he joints in your wrist.
