We hardly have stop streets here. We have roundabouts, and in the event of a car coming from the righrt side then yes you have to stop.

I often do a california stop and just slow down to check for traffic. when i drive on the clock i stop at every stop sign. its wrong to have so many stop signs. there should be yield right of way signs instead so we can just cruise right through them legally.
