  • American Jennifer R: Lake Titicaca is on the border of Peru and Bolivia Joe: Wow, when I searched mapquest, I got a hit in Washington.. So the true answer should be either Peruvian or Bolivian.
  • Well, actually there is not a city called like that...only the lake is called that way. Now the lake is half on Peru (in the "state" of Puno...called Puneños), and the other half is on Bolivia (in the "state" of La Paz...called Paceños). Hope this clarifies the issue.
  • Well you would call them a Lake Titicacan I know, the name makes me giggle every time I hear it.
  • The natives and others who live inland from Lake Titicaca are called Puneños. Those natives who live on Lake Titicaca be it on the Floating Islands or Solid Islands on the Peruvian side of the lake are: Uros (Floating Islands), Amantanis and Taquiles (Solid Islands). The whole group of natives and locales in the area belong to the AYMARA ethnic group. I live in Peru, thus I know about this subject. Regards.
