Gotta disagree with that. I am a law-abiding citizen (except for the one speeding ticket last week...), but I do not want anyone from the government listening to my conversations? Why? Because they're no one's business but mine and the person I'm talking to. We discuss all sorts of personal things, including medical information. I fail to see how that will help catch a terrorist, and I resent being treated like an animal in a zoo, with no privacy.
Frankly, I'm a little tired of hearing variations of, "If you have nothing to hide, you have nothing to fear." I'm not afraid. I'm just pissed!
(Nonetheless, it's a legit answer, so +3) :-)
