  • I think I would agree. I quote Gore Vidal, "Whenever a friend I succeeds, I die a little inside." I think jealousy is sort of the best revenge, even though I would never intentionally try and be successful to make somebody jealous.
  • I feel that success is always desirable and that "success is the best revenge" has never hurt anyone.
  • Yes, definitely. The best 'revenge' is to be so busy having fun that you have forgotten that the other person even exists! Every second thinking about a bad person is a second not spent thinking about fun. If you truly want fun then you won't have time to think about the people that hurt you.
  • I agree that being successful in achieving revenge is the best form of revenge. I'm very much a moral person, and have several quotes to live by, one being 'Pain is temporary, pride is forever' and another 'Death before Dishonour' If it's something extreme, like messing with family or friends, I don't see what I can do that is 'successful' that will hurt this person. If I have to suffer a bit to regain honour and pride, I will. Success won't always work, especially if it's someone like me, I wouldn't be annoyed if an enemy succeeds, because it doesn't directly affect me.
