I'd go 50 miles. Luckily, we have good restaurants all over the place here. :)

Not more than an hours worth of drive time.

probably half an hour. But, if it's a REALLY good restaurant and/OR I'm having an appointment with someone special (liek, gurlz!), I could probably accept about 45 min-one hour MAX

30 miles at most.
-
25 miles

A few years ago before the terrorism of high gas prices, Jim and I drove 270 miles one way to eat at a great restaurant. We lived in Riverside and drove to Harris Ranch, on the 5 freeway as you head up north. We left very early in the morning, got there about noon..had a fine meal and got home before dark. We felt very "rich" doing that..now, we don't even go to the beach..it's too far, too costly, and too crowded. :)

We drove up to Clint Eastwood's "Hog's Breath Inn", in Carmel, Ca.. for an early dinner once. (447 miles one way)

Our bike group will travel about 300kms to eat at a special place. Between 500 and 600kms round trip.
