In the US each state sets its own law on the recording of conversations. There are basically three options; 1. Recording is illegal 2. Recording is legal as long as a minimum of one participant is aware of the recording prior to the start of the conversation. 3. Recording is legal only if all parties are aware of the recording before the conversation takes place. Texas laws followed the second example. However, before you attempt to take a recording to a court of law you should seek professional legal advice.
