  • Yes because kids learn dysfunctional behaviors that way.
  • Most prob yes, I would also guess that it would depend on the indervidual. I was mostly with my grandmother because I came from a dysfunctional family with a step-father that was a very violent drunk.
  • I think it is a two-way street..I think dysfunctional society also contributes to problems in the family. If a family lives in a neighborhood that is gang infested, that is bound to affect them..worst case, the kids in the family become gang members! :(
  • Unfortunately more often than not. Kids are sponges. They take everything in and replicate it. If they view dysfunctional displays, there's a good chance they will repeat them, and so on and so on generation to generation. That can also spill out to other kids (who are also sponges) in the form of violence, plain old bad behavior, disrespect, you name it.
  • absolutely! A kid needs stability, blah blah, or what else does he have?? Every kid needs a strong family to start off in, so that he can have one of his own, which absolutley makes society better. With out family we are nothing, and I mean the community. sorry, it's hot.
  • families are part of a community arent they
  • A really good book to read is "The Two-Income Household". It points out how most families need to have both the mother and father working now to either keep afloat or just to keep up with the Joneses. People need to get their priorities straight. Mom working just so the family can show off their shiny new SUV or home remodel is really messed up. Kids don't get the attention they really need these days and it makes me sad. People need to stop putting themselves first and instead think of their family as a whole.
  • Yes :)
  • Absolutely. The family is the foundation of society and if it is sick, then society will follow.
