I'm going to be home for the summer for about a month and a half... Do you think anyone will hire me this summer?

Well, what are your credentials, are you just out of highschool/college/in between years, and what places are you going to apply? If you do want to apply for places, I'd probably just not tell them you'll only be there for a month and a half, then when you need to go back to school, tell them you don't want to quit, just can't work for a while, and will be back next summer or something, then even though you're only working this long for now, they won't feel *as bad* for hiring you when you just left after a short time.
