When you put oil directly in a compressor, put it in the hole marked "S". The S and D mean suction and discharge. After you put in the oil and close the system, it is important to spin the compressor by hand at least five times or so before you start the engine and turn on the air conditioner to finish charging it. This will prevent hydraulic lockup by getting excess oil out of the compressor. Make sure you spin the compressor the right direction, which should be clockwise as you look at it from the front.
