i think its because its old school and old school things are coming back

a person mostly knows its mother right, so if someone say bad things to thier loved ones, they will get hurt so its mostly the big target, the loved ones.. i dont think my answer made sense

I myself use the phrases "your dog" and "your face".I don't use the your mom thing because it's terrible to say it to someone who has lost their mother.
