Why do donut holes taste so much better than regular donuts?

Do they? Maybe, its the same psychological effect a clean car has on humans. A clean car just seems to run better and faster. But we know this is not so.

I have no idea...but they do, don't they? Maybe it's because you can pop the whole thing into your mouth and "savor the flavors" hands free.

Because the donut hole is actually the center of a donut and gravity caused by the rotation of the earth causes the majority of the donut flavor to migrate to the center.

I think it is because they are so small and insignificant looking, that you underestimate the power of the punch that this tidy little ball of polyunsaturated fats, sugar and starch delivers.
