  • CC is carbon copy, and BCC is Blind Carbon Copy, when you send it BCC no one will know who else you sent that too.
  • CC is other people you want the mail to go to other than your TO people. BCC will privately send your mail to the people in the BCC line (no one who you send it to will see the email addresses of the people on this line.
  • CC is "Carbon Copy". On hardcopy letters, when you send a letter to, say, a manager of a place, and also CC the owner (send a copy to him/her), it lets the manager know the owner has seen the email. It's a tie-over from formal letter writing. BCC is BLIND Carbon Copy. If you have a long list of people you wish to send an email to, but don't want EVERYONE to receive all their email addresses, then you can use BCC for the list, and send a copy to yourself in the TO. All recipients will see is that THEY got a copy of an email you sent to yourself - They will NOT see who else got it. This is used for mass-mailings, a lot of the time.
  • CC - address will be shown to all receivers. Bcc - address will not be shown to other receivers.Any thing about email you can always learn from yahoo tutorial.
  • When emailing friends and relatives, or for that matter anyone who knows you, Always send emails in BCC. That way if your email gets intercepted by a scammer, they will NOT be able to see any addresses that are in the BCC line. That is one way that the scammers get email addresses. When the person gets your email they will know it is from you. Have a Great Weekend!!
