No i don't. If they are with a home that is willing to take care of that dog then i think that the dog should live.
If the dog is blind and has other problems that he/she is suffering then no i don't, humainly put that dog down.

I know a lot of blind dogs and they are wonderful people. You must ask yourself a slightly different question. If you were blind, would the dog put you to sleep? Every life is precious but if you can honestly tell yourself this animal is suffering, you have already made your choice. I cannot help you feel good about it. Think of all the wonderful times you have shared and think of what is best for both of you. Good luck, I have never had a dog that has lived long enough to ask me that question. My brother ran over my last dog....

No, a dog can adjust and still live a happy life. One of my best friends had a blind dog and he would still play and liked people and getting petted.

No, an animal does not deserve to be killed for blindness. However, IF they animal is dying a slow, gradual, painful process (such as internal bleeding, being paralyzed in pain, etc) it may be necessary in RARE cases. Think about this: if you were going through the same disorder/disease and couldn't speak for yourself, would you prefer to be killed? Obviously, your pets life is up to you. If your animal is blind and seems depressed, death should NOT be an option because your animal will soon adjust, even if they seem miserable for a period of time- if you became blind you would like to have time to adjust before being killed right?

Is the dog in pain? Does it still love you? Can you not return some love for all it has given you unconditionally? If blindness is the criteria for existence of your faithful companion...what if ,instead of being a pet dog,it was Human, would blindness result in euthanasia? Love your pet as it loves you..unconditionally...the time for assisted death of a pet,I believe, is when pain becomes a serious issue for the animal. I love my pets and it is returned one hundredfold..I will look after them until their lives become unbearable, then arrange a dignified and painless way for them to sleep forever.Remember, your pet is a helpless animal as far as decisions go,so make yours the right ones!
