  • There are more than a few that have more or less permanently moved to my area - central Florida.
  • Some moved back to N.O. But lots of us are still scattered across the states. I've been moving around a whole lot since Katrina. It RUINED my life!
  • Many Katrina victims have now assimilated themselves in the new neighborhoods where they were relocated. Their children go to the local schools and the parents all have new jobs and homes. They are nearly all better off than they were. The children barely remember being from Louisiana, thought the parents miss it. There are also a large number of them in jails around the country, but no verifiable statistics are available.
