Size, contrast ratio, I like LCD instead of Plasma. Warranty info. Inputs. And I ALWAYS read customer reviews. I prefer a flat-panel. We just purchased a Vizio & it has turned out to be a great TV for the price. They are way cheaper than others & have a great picture. When I had a problem with my remote control not working, they sent me a new one. But make sure you always order an extra warranty besides what comes with the television. It is definitely worth it....
