  • When I was in high school I never went to parties and never drank or smoked or anything like that. I had my group of friends, and there were about 8 of us who hung out together. We went to movies spent time at eachother's houses and places like that. We had fun and we really didn't care so much about what the others were doing. High school is a time where tremendous peer pressure causes you to feel like this is what life will be like. It really isn't that way. You'll certainly have a better life when you graduate. You just need to concentrate on the things YOU personally enjoy doing. Make a list and remember it. If you are really worried about the friends part, look for people who like things that you do. Join a club or take lessons in subjects you like. High school will be over before you know it and you'll at least have a life. People who waste their time smoking and partying may not even have life. All they'll end up with is memories, if even.
  • Alot of the things that were sooo important in school just aren't once you're out. Many of the popular folks in school will later cite that time as the high point in their lives. Now THAT is sad. Be who you are and you will have a huge headstart on most of your schoolmates.
