How does one rid a lawn of worm mounds?

    My mom says that it is caused by too much fertilizer/nutrients?/nitrogen(?)in the soil. You could get a soil test and find out for sure and amend your soil accordingly...if you are interested in long-term solutions.

    You have to draw the worms out of your yard with poison or you're wasting your time.
    Once you're rid of the worms, get one of those big rolling barrels for leveling soil before planting a lawn. You can rent them, you bring one home and usually fill it with water to make it heavy. Water good the night before, so the lawn is soft, but not too soft. Roll that thing over you yard. It's like a manual steam roller and does a pretty good job. You can also fill in stubborn craters with peat moss/dirt. Lawn should fill in on it's own if they aren't too big.
