  • i'd think not. my friends and i speak spanish when we're out, and when she's talking to her mom they speak in arabic. nothing offensive about that either i'd think. it IS free speech afterall
  • Go ahead. You can be very helpful to those who are deaf mute by learning it. And, if you want to share a secret with your sister, that is your business. :-)
  • I see it happening more and more. Even parents are signing to their children in the store, so they don't have to shout. I think it's a great idea.

  • It's just another language. Many people are capable of communications in more than one language. I say, "Bravo!" The more you learn, the more avenues will be open for you!

  • I think people should be able to speak in whatever language they feel like. Sign language is not exclusively for deaf or mute people. Also I think people are too nervous about offending others these days. If I was deaf or mute, I'd be really pleased someone made an effort to learn how to communicate with me. However if some people don't like it, that's their problem. Who cares?
