More empowered. If they think they are better than me because of what they grew up with, screw em! I learned more about life when I didn't have much. I learned to take care of myself and to appreciate things. Now that I'm taking care of myself quite well, it means that much more.

Usually, I have mixed feelings of amusement and disappointment. People can be fickle.
-
Annoyed and usually loose intrest in getting to know them. I'll try to get them past that but it's their hang up not mine. I know some friends who would manipulate them into getting them money, buying them things and taking them places...I was too sensitive to anything like that, but I probably wouldve saved money if I did.
-
I come from a rich family but its funny to see how people's opinion of me changes when they find out I come from money. They get jealous and rude. They wouldn't have ever known otherwise. I look just like everyone else
-
I like when people underestimate me and what I'm capable of.
-
The opposite happens quite a lot to me, actually. It didn't happen so much in high school, since I lived in a relatively wealthy area, but in college it did. That's why I tell people I'm from South Florida and not Boca Raton.
-
I think your opinion of them should drop in direct relation...whether your family is rich or poor you didn't have a damn thing to do about it.
-
well, its classisim. its the new racisim. isnt it how europe has ben for centuries?
-
you know what f%$$k m how bought when the find out you are a recovering ex meth addict and your successful
-
It happens both ways. Some people want to suddenly be your best friend when they discover you're from a wealthy or influential family. The question shouldn't be how you feel about yourself when you come across people like this. I mean, doesn't YOUR OPINION OF THEM change when they are judging you by your family's social position or economic status? :D
-
well i don't let such fickle minded people influence my feelings... cos i am proud of who i am.. if they try to judge me on the basis of my economic status.. then i dont count on them.. its better to stay alone then among people like them.. and besides... there are many people out there who are better off in their opinion about making friends..
-
having all the money in the world wont make someone a better person,it makes me feal bad.
-
It is not my family that they have to live with so what difference would it make anyway. You love someone for who they are not what they got. :)
-
fuel for the flame
-
it makes me feel like that person has no values or morals... this is ridiculous and the only person who is poor is the person who changes because of the money you have or dont have. that person has a poor mind, a poor education and a poor heart
