Why does it matter if you're super skinny? Not everyone is so shallow that they'll only date anorexic women with big, fake boobs! Give the guy a chance. Why don't you ask if he wants to go see a movie or something? Make it with a few other friends so it doesn't feel like a date, then spend the evening chatting with him, get to know him, and maybe ask him if he wants to do something else the next weekend with just you. Please, please get over the body image thing! It is so unhealthy to think you need to be super skinny for anyone to be attracted to you. Learn the art of conversation and subtle flirtation. :) I don't know where you live, but we Southern women learn that from the cradle, and it is a valuable talent not only to meet guys, but to also make other people feel comfortable. :)

Stop obsessing over your weight so much. Just because he is super built doesn't mean that he will not like you for who you are. Get rid of these stereotypes. They're trash. Throw them away.

ok he's shy but talks to others...but not you = he is probably too shy to talk to u because he may like you and doesnt want to make a fool of himself and therefore shuts down. i know this because i know guys that do this still in their 20's and 30's and also i did it when i was younger (i am a girl) and who cares if your not skinny? some guys dont even like the look of skinny girls and arent attracted to them even physically! (i notice some people imply that they do want this image but prefer good personality), Personality is definately way more important than looks! BUT i take the stance saying that even if looks were the only thing that mattered (thank god they're not) THEN all guys will be attracted to different things! some like skinny some like curvy some like blonde some like brunette etc etc. but I know MANY guys that arent even physically attracted to the whole 'big boobed, skinny blonde' look. they physically prefer a girl who is curvy and sexy and confident and looks real and just hot! fake is not hot! and bones are not hot! Hun, you have to realise this! dont listen to the whole 'skinny is perfect but at least you have a nice personality'...YOU are perfect! because u bet a million guys would think you are physically way hotter than someone super skinny! (thats just media cr*p and men that have low self esteem that harp on about that image to bring other people down'). work what you have because there are guys that think you are the hottest looking thing since slices bread...they wont even look twice at a superskinny! and then add your awesome personality!!! and your unstoppable!!! once you love someone from the inside...you think they are the hottest thing on the outside too! every single woman in the world has the right to be the HOTTEST woman in the ENTIRE WORLD to at LEAST one person! so worl what you've got BUT most importantly work what you have in your heart and the rest will fall in to place! NEVER EVER think you are inferior to anyone in anyway!!! I bet there are heaps of guys that think you are hotter than your fave supermodel. because they dont even find that physique attractive!

My girlfriend is "a few extra pounds." I love her for who she and I am not concerned about her weight. I dated a woman that was anorexic once and it did not work out. I would advice against thinking that your weight prevents you from having a chance with men. It doesn't! If the difference between having a guy and not having him is your weight, then you do not really have him. You should not worry about how heavy or light this man thinks you are. If he does not accept you for who you are, then you do not even want him. If he is standing by you at a party and offered you a ride, those are both good signs. You ask if you stand a chance with him. He may be asking the same question regarding you. I would ask him out. Since he is shy, he may be scared to ask you out. Someone has to make the first move. Offering a ride may be his way of trying to tell you he likes you. Please gather some courage and ask him out. Regardless, of his answer I think you should be proud of yourself if you do. Good luck!
