  • Background checks comes to mind.
  • It is the same in Australia - nobody wants to employ an ex-prisoner, yet, the prison system is 'supposed' to be about rehabillitation. In a past job I met many ex-prisoners who, for whatever, reason were illiterate and to assist them I recommended that they enter a school for adults where they could learn to read and write without being judged. Once they felt confident in this area, it became easier for them to present themselves in an interview situation. Other reasons are lack of fashionable clothing, footwear and grooming aids due to - what else? Not having a job to earn the money to buy these!!!
  • You ask that as if it's like going to the toilet. Seriously, I've no idea how to answer that question without being rude, but i'll try. You've been in jail, this shows that- When given rules you break them, And their are rules in the workplace. Your employer pays you to do what your told, not to do what you feel like doing. You're not as bright as you think you are. (You got caught didn't you?). Of the 98 people who applied for the job, 97 haven't been to jail, can do what their paid for, and if they do something wrong, might be bright enough not to get caught. In short, you're probably a bit of a retard, I wouldn't employ you to wipe my arse.
  • Serving time in jail is like a person who files bankruptcy. It takes time for people to regain your trust.
