  • It will cost the rest of your life. Your license will go, that is for certain, If not, then that judge is not doing his job. Since you were on a differed sentence, this most likely means that you will now serve that sentence. Considering how laws change over the years what is now a juvenile offense and in a 'closed' file on you may very well in your lifetime become open knowledge, so it will follow you for the rest of your life. On top of the loss of your right to drive, and the most possible 6 month sentence to be served, depending on the laws in your area you may get more time for the possession, along with an order to do rehab. Mind that order to do rehab is a favor to you - if you blow that then you are out of choices - no more favors. It is potentially possible that if you do 28 days rehab, stay clean and sober you may still get a pass from jail. Possible. Depends on if the judge thinks you are worth saving or not. Your friend is NOT your friend. Obviously you two were hanging out together smoking some bud and he allowed (perhaps even tempted you) you to take these unusual risks for a young person who was on a differed sentence with prior legal problems. With friends like that you don't need enemies. Your best bet to getting your nose clean is to drop your friends who stand in your way or lead you astray or tempt you to do the wrong things and replace them with good people who will, for your own good, tell you when to stop and think before you take another step. Good luck with that - ya know, the rest of your life.
