No one should ever take medication with out a doctor's examination first. There may be some underlying reason for avoiding it.

you're not sure it is a panic attack. Lots of things mimic them..I would never take anything Unless i got it from the Drs. They can tell you if it's panic.

If it is their own medication 'Yes' if it is not then NO they should not. Every person reacts differently with medications and they should only be prescribed by a medical professional. Think of how you would feel if this person had an adverse reaction to it and needed further medical attention.

Um no. Not without it being their prescription. Seroquel (Quetiapine) is used in the treatment of schizophrenia and acute manic episodes associated with bipolar I disorder. The way it works and what it targets is not the same centers that control anxiety. Although it has been prescribed by some doctors to treat; obsessive-compulsive disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, restless legs syndrome, autism, alcoholism, Tourette syndrome, and has been used by physicians as a sedative for those with sleep disorders or anxiety disorders. It needs to be regulated and be given by a doctor who needs to evaluate the cause and the condition and determine if it is the right drug for you. There are a whole range of medications used to treat anxiety issues: http://www.crescentlife.com/psychmeds/anti-anxiety_medications.htm they work differently on the brain than seroquel.
