Acid Bath made the two heaviest records of all time. And best of all, they broke up before they had a chance to sell out. They are what Black Sabbath would have become had they gotten angrier, had a WAY better drummer and been WAY more evil. More evil than Sabbath you say? I'd go for Iron Maiden for their contribution to metal, too many good bands out there now to pick a single one in my estimation.

Death if i had to choose one chuck schuldiner was one of a kind, with such amazing vocals, and such an amazing ability to write great songs with such amazingly deep and meaningful lyrics. Death is the most, if not the most deep, introspective and enlightening band of all time. Not only that but strictly musically speaking, they sound great, they are only paralleled by bands like Slayer, Morbid Angel or old metallica as far as instruments go...
