How would you calculate the breakeven point for an electric vehicle if it cost $6,000.00 more than a gas car? Ex. please.

You have to figure how much you'd be spending to gas up the gas vehicle (assuming a certain price for gas), and how long it'd take to get that $6k back at those rates. I heard on the radio about 2 years ago that the average person took 13 years to get that money back. Of course, that was when gas was a bit cheaper than now.
