I think that my name really suits me. A glen is a narrow valley or canyon. We think that Blaylock is old English meaning blue lake. So my name literally means canyon of the blue lake. This is a very fitting name for someone, such as I, who likes going camping and eventually became a geologist. So, yes, I like my name very much.

Okay, my real name is Sumer and no I did not just misspell that. My mother did. I HATE that name, especially as it is really Sumer Joy. I am a product of the 70's and I am not girly nor peace loving.
