  • Unfortunately I don't know anything about Barbados, and the immigration law over there. I don't want to pretend to be an expert,I am just trying to help you.But Your statement is ambiguous. What do you mean by " he's waiting for his immigration status ? will he be a citizen there? or permanent resident? Does he apply for asylum ? Is he waiting for a decision from an Immigration judge ? Did he come there as a refugee ? Does he own a business there ? Normally, just because he is eligible to live there, doesn't mean you as his spouse is also eligible to live and work there. Maybe you need a work authorization first ( for tax purpose) and then after some time you don't need it anymore. Every place has its own law. You'd better try to find out.Maybe you can go to www.google.com and click Immigration in Barbados and then I'm feeling lucky. I have a phone numer you can call it's (246) 426 1091. ( Chif Immigration Officer) you can e-mail him: Imm-dept@caribsurf.com. I hope this answer will be( a little bit) useful. I'm sorry I wish I could help you more.
