They get intimidated by my lack of communication, and seeming lack of interest. I'm just really shy and not so friendly so I think people take it the wrong way. They might not like me at first, but at least it doesn't mean that they automatically dislike me either, for the most part.

I"m shy but I try real hard to come out of my shell and people seem to like me right off. I've never had the sense that someone didn't like me.

I seem to get along real good with people around my age or older. Not so for people younger than me, i don't know quite why. Maybe i'm boring or just don't speak their language.

I'd say it's about 70-30 for people who either really enjoy my company, or dislike me. People generally have some opinion of me, be it positive or negative, upon the first meeting.

I'm generally liked/disliked in a 80/20 kind of a way. My daughter, on the other hand, is like tonic water: first you dislike her, but if you give her a chance you'll end up liking her.
