Guess who's learned how to push her parents buttons? A 7 year old didn't come up with that by herself. Where do they get these things? Who is she associating with? What is she watching on TV? What is she reading? These are the clues to tracking down your 'assailant'! Yes, your relationship with your daughter is being undermined. If you think it's just a phase & will pass, wait a few years & then look back. Then remember what the first signs were. It won't be so cute then. Read in the other sections from parents having difficulties with their teens.

Wow, it sounds like something she might have heard on TV. When my son was 8, he asked me if I was a virgin! Sometimes, it's hard keeping a straight face when they say these things. You should tell her about this when she's grown up! My son is an adult now and I've told him about some of the things he said. He even gets a chuckle out of it -- not always though. :)
