They emailed millions of people randomly. You responded, that's how they got your email. Good luck trying to get off their lists now. The only thing you can do is set your spam or junk mail filter to block their emails, or divert them to a junk folder.

While this is illegal, people create large lists of emails using different methods (hacking, or simply finding new email addresses and adding them on manually) and sell them to spamers. If you pay for your email address then im sure there is a way to block the email address that is sending you the spam. if you are using something like gmail or yahoo, im not so sure but it would be found under personal preferences/personal settings.

They are very correct, many times people start getting these by filling out a survey somewhere and their information is sold from that site and the journey of spam begins.
