  • I agree completely. Women are cut alot more slack than men. This is one of the big problems with achieving equality. When equal rights are given to one group, chances are the rights of another are stomped on, at least for a limited while.( In terms of issues that large, a little while could be a few decades) Nowhere is this more apparent than the results of the civil rights movements that have come since in the last century. Take a look at affirmative action and tell me any part of that is fair.
  • hold it!!! only women are allowed to ask such a question. are you a man or woman?
  • Sure, when guys have to pay non-support but women rarely have to that's discriminatory based upon sexual gender!
  • No. It's on of the few things equal about the sexes. You're just feeling sorry for yourself. It hurts when you're on the receiving end of the attack.
  • Hey! I'm so glad you asked this question because i've been dying to put my opinion forward. I am a woman and personally i DO believe that men are discriminated against a lot more these days. You surprised i said that? Lol. Now having said that i still think there is discrimination against women as well, but i've noticed some very unfortunate effects that the feminism movement has created. Firstly, i'm not a feminist but i do support equality for both men and women. I think it is perfectly, 100% acceptable for a woman to become a builder and a man to be a stay at home father if that is what they want to do. If my partner wants to be a stay at home dad when we have children i would never object because i think its important to embrance change and accept what other people want even if they don't fit the 'stereotype'. I don't find men any less manly just because they choose to stay at home or women any more butch if they chose to be a builder. The reason why i think men are starting to experience discrimination is because some over the top feminist women who thinks the world owes them something have pushed through legislation that isn't equal for men and women at all - rather it benefits women but not the men. An example of this is Wimbledon (tennis). Female tennis players are paid the same amount of money as men, yet men play more set then women. This i find extremely unfair - men play more sets, work harder and play longer yet they no longer have the incentive to do so. Women tennis players should be paid the amount a man would receive if he played the number of sets they play. That to me is fair. Feminism started out with a good goal with women who honestly wanted equality, but now there are these idiot women who are using it to their advantage and exploiting what feminism truly stands for. I do not stand for what feminism stands for today, i stand for the real equality. I just wish men and women could see eye to eye, that there is no difference with us intellectually, we both need the other just as much and that we are meant to compliment each other not beat each other down and 'use' the other in any way shape or form. So i'm glad you asked this question, and i think that you guys should not allow yourselves to become welcome mats and stand up for the real equalty and not let thess pathetic, power hungry women walk all over you. I just hope your view of women hasn't become a negative one, i know a lot of men out there who are extremely bitter and quite honestly 'hate' women. Its very sad...there are still good women out there and they are still the majority thank god.
  • If you don't consider that women make 75cents on the dollar that men make, sure. In 2007, women were paid 77 cents for every dollar men received. The average 25-year-old working woman will lose more than $523,000 to unequal pay during her working life. These figures are even worse for women of color. The recent Supreme Court ruling Ledbetter v. Goodyear makes it virtually impossible for employees who face pay discrimination based on sex, race, ethnicity, religion, disability, and age to take action against their employers.
