What do you think about the 17 high school girls that got pregnant and thought it was "SWEET" when they found out they were expecting? in your eyes how do you see this affecting us as a nation?

I think it's trashy, and it screw up the rest of the States cos we have to pay for those tramps to survive when the go on welfare. I also think it shows these girls have no parents that care or taught them ANYTHING.

i think that there are alot more things that are effecting us as a nation besides teen pregnancy at least they kept their children instead of aborting them and being irresponsible in 2 ways. maybe they were taught the wrong things but you know what if our schools were more discouraging about being parents at a young age and actually had classes with those crazy toy babies that make it easy to understand why its so hard for teen parents to take care of a child and do everything else then maybe we wouldnt have this problem.

Being a teen parent myself they all are childish and deserve all the free time they loose.

i think it is rather selfish.. you should have a child because you want to bring a beautiful little life in the world.. you have to be able to afford the child, love and care for it 24/7.. its not somethin you should rush into.. MOST 17 year old are not mature enough to raise a child and dont have the financial support.

I gepretty hot over this topic. The stupidity of these girls is one things but ultimately I have to blame the parents for not raising them better. Obviously they aren't the only people like this in the world who think a baby is cute and then have to wake up to the reality that babies are expensive, take time and money and resources to raise. What getsa me the most is half if not more of those girls will leech off the taxpayers and get on welfare, not raise the kids right or have their parents raise the kids and then bring up more stupid irresponsible leeches like themselves who will go pop out some babies of their own. I honestly think to be able to procreate you ought to have to pass an IQ test or get a license or something. I hate big government but I hate paying taxes so stupid kids can go pop out babies and I can't have one because I can't afford one on my salary. The system is flawed, a band-aid has become a crutch.

It will be "sweet" until the first night at home when they have to call mom to ask how to "stop that thing from bawling". My heart aches for this country because so many children are born without both parents being present let alone married. Somewhere along the road, this country started raising a gang of selfish and self-centered, egotistical and irresponsible children that assume that the 'state' (local,state or national government) would take care of what ever ails them. There is no such thing as responsibility and shame anymore. I have more years behind me than infront of me now and I thank God that I do. I hate to think of what will come in 20,30, or 40 years when these irresponsible people start making over the laws of this land. They didn't see fit to abide by societies conventions now. How can they expect to teach anyone else what and what not to do? They can't very well tell a young girl to be financially and socially responsible when they were not. I also agree that most of this should land on their parents shoulders. When parents lead a questionable life-style how can they teach their children?
