Depends on the breed. some breeds shiver (think Chihuahua). Other than that shivering is either a sign of cold, or nervousness or stress (physical stress or mental stress). If the dog is not normally prone to shivering (like a Chihuahua) then I would call a vet and ask them. Most likely s/he will ask a few questions to get a better idea of what else is going on - or s/he may feel that seeing the dog is needed. Prenatal care for animals is just as important as it is for humans - I do hope you have had the dog to the vet a few times during the course of the pregnancy just to make certain everything is going well. Also might want to speak to vet about the whelping process (birth) and also pick up as much information as possible about what to do with the tiny pups, how to behave around mom and litter and what common ills pups are prone for for the breed(s) that they come from.

my dog has alot of discharge and is walking funny does this mean she is close to labour?
