It depends upon the answer. If I am going to give it points in that situation it would need to be very good. Standards set to a higher bar when it comes to beating me, lol.

Yes, I will, and have done that many times.

I've done that. I do it even if I don't have any points yet and they are the best answer. I don't have qualms about being first, second or last. I try to give the best answers possible and I would hope that they wouldn't be last but I still honor other good answers with points.

Sure. The only way I ever seem to have "top answer" is if it's the only one.

I give out points for a good answer no matter what rating my question might have.
