Question changed from "singing group" to "music group". If it isn't going to change again, I will give my opinion. Chicago.

Edit: To address Rochell K's comment, There is a big difference between a singing group and a music group. The Supremes were a great singing group, but never played a note of music. An orchestra would be considered a music group, but nobody ever sings.

Edit: To the person who rated this "not helpful", perhaps you would be kind enough to tell me who I think is the best music group, since you obviously know my preferences better than I do.

- Agreed, Pink Floyd were amazing to see in person. I saw them twice during the late seventies and early eighties and had backstage passes for both shows. I have them mounted and framed along with an autographed copy of their Dark Side of the Moon LP. I never, ever get tired of listening to them. Rest in peace, Rick.

I will have to go with Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, probably the best live act in rock history.

they have been around forever and have had, perhaps, over 50 members come and go...so, if your question is geared more towards "best band" rather than best music, I'd have to say LITTLE FEAT

  I love The Cure. I love almost every song I've heard by them. If I had to pick a favorite I would probabaly choose Pictures Of You. I remember I used to love the song Friday I'm In Love but I didn't know who it was by. Then a couple years ago I heard "The Only One" on the radio and loved it so much!! I looked it up and that's how I found out I love The Cure.

That would most definitely be The Eagles. They do rock, country and pop. All of their songs contain intricate background harmonies by the other members. They are excellent singers, excellent songwriters, excellent musicians.
