Are there tips for using a steamer to steam iron a dress shirt?

I press for a living and my advice to press a dress is to have a good iron.If the dress shirt is difficult to press then flat press it first.If its silk or an easy to press garment I recommend hanging it on a hanger and press it with just steam.This reduces the risk of you accident pressing in any creases.
