Atheists, why don't you just believe in a religion. You've got nothing to lose, and if that religion turns out to be true, hey, you get to go to a paradise? lol

Well, I`m an atheist, and sometimes I wish that I would belive. But it`s not that easy. When you have spend your whole life without religions, it`s pretty hard to just say to myself that, hay, just pick some religion so you will get to paridise. And there are just so meny things that I dont agree with every religion i`ve heard of. And I belive that you can have as good life as anyone who belives without beliving. I mean, you dont need religion to have a moral. And to me it seems tahat all the religions are pretty much based on fear. In fear of hell, or something else. And I dont think that way, that I should pick a religion so i would have at least a chanse to get in paradise, caouse I dont belive that there is a paradise, so it dont work that way. Anyway, these are just my thuoghts, but I hope thay helpd

Yes I have got something to lose: time spent in church, tithes paid to priests, opportunities missed because it was against the rules of some god. And do you really think god would be fooled by an atheist pretending to believe? Besides, which god should I believe in? You will probably say yours, but there are many others. What if you are exactly wrong? If god didn't put us here to be nice to each other, but has sat up the world as a mammoth war game, in which only those who claw their way bloodily to the top go to winners heaven, and nice guys go to hell for not giving god some fun to watch.

Religion isn't just about saying "Hey, I'm a Christian. I go to Heaven now, right?" If you don't believe in the religion you choose, there's no point to it.

Maybe I'm a little IGNORANT of the atheist belief (or NON belief). But, I was wondering: How is it possible to NOT believe in someone or something that supposedly doesn't exist?? I mean, correct me if I'm wrong, but that's kind of like saying, I don't believe in WIDGETS, n'est pas?
