I think I read in the instructions one time that you can use petroleum jelly on your ears, neck and edges of your face to keep the color from attaching there. I think you could probably do the same, but not to the entire scalp of course. If you have a rather wide part, you could carefully put a bit of petroleum jelly on it (but I think I would call a hair salon and ask one of the stylists to be sure it wouldn't de-activate ALL of the hair coloring solution. Hope this helps!

If it is actually around the hairline, shampoo on cotton wool will get it off. If it is on your scalp it will come off with the first couple of hair shampoos.

i am assuming that you are using a semi colour. i would try your best not to apply it to the scalp. also i would make sure that you put a bit of water on the hair before you rinse the colour off and massage it in. and shampoo twice and make sure you scrub the scalp. not too much though!

If you mean around like by ur ears and forehead, use petrollium jelly or a real thick conditionar!
